Knobby King ~ King of the knobbies. Cruel and spider-like with long hairy legs, rolling eyes, and fangs dripping venom. Hates Nora because his underground mines were flooded when Nora had to destroy her first Patchquilt People because of Asurion's spells. Does not like Asurion, but needs her powers.

Nora ~ Asurion's fraternal twin, the Great Storyteller, and creator of the Patchquilt People world. Daughter of a great wizard and his human wife. Good-natured and

Thed ~ Wise man of the Patchquilt People village and author of books about the Great Beyond.

Voss ~ Father of Welby and a great explorer who brings the best fabrics back for the Patchquilt People. Has been missing for many months.

Welby ~ Twelve-year-old son of Voss who falls into the Great Beyond along with Amelia. They experience many challenges and dangers to return to their Patchquilt world.
